I worked for some of the subcontractors in painting, concrete and some house maintenance on homes that had been foreclosed, then to Great northwest management for more apartments building, I worked for a short time for them, and at that time I meet my wife, in 1986 and we got married in 1987, Happy but not much of an income for a married guy. I was working for a plumbing company and they needed trenching for sewer hookups and storm hookups to be done, it was at sterling point condos in Beaverton Oregon and that's when I started, in 1988 I went and got a back hoe, it was small and broke down more then it ran, but it was a start and I worked for and with three plumbing companies doing trenching on large ground work building, that's trenches inside the building for plumbing.
Then I got a bigger back hoe, A case 580E so I could do bigger jobs like digging trenches for power line on apartment projects and a working for home builders doing rain drains and sewer hook ups on homes.
My old boss form Robert Randall Company was working for George Marshall in forest heights and they needed so one to do sewer and storm hook ups, That was the start of a long time in housing with them, George had just started Claremont subdivision and I got to go to Claremont and stayed with them for over ten years, going to Forest Heights, Claremont and to the coast for them, and by that time they had become George Marshall Group. And I'm working with more good people! Here are just some of there names, George Marshall and Dan Grimberg, Brent Hillman, Vern Mccarty,
Loyal Kittson, Jeff Butcher, And a lot more that I need to find, some I just know as Tony & Tish, can't remember there last name.
After Claremont I did some small lot improvements and homes for builders then went to work for Arbor homes in 2003 till 2008 when the housing stopped. I wanted a change and sewer repairs is not much of a change but it is a change, Its the people I'm work for, home owners are a nice change form builders, builders are great but after twenty plus years of the same thing, you get the picture. Working in old parts of Portland doing sewer repairs is a great change, and seeing that the old plumbers did it just the same way as I would have. But with a track hoe not by a shovel, I can see why they did it that way or this way. The changes in plumbing are the types of pipe and the equipment to dig with, it still needs to run down hill at a 1/4 inch per foot, that hasn't changed. But the pipe has, its water tight and it lasts vary long time and is easy to install, roots can't get in and rats have a hard time with it.
Trenchless sewer repair in Portland Oregon is a change in how sewer lines are repaired and installed. trenchless is about thirty years old or so, and it makes a lot of sense to do it that way. Trenchless sewer installation is a clean way to install a line from point A to point B without T's or Y's. It cost less then installing new landscaping in yards, going under trees, shrubs and driveways. We can see what works best for your job and how we can save you time and money on your project or repair.
